Terry is honored for his incredible journey of reinvention and the positive impact he has made on the lives of older adults. As a member of the sandwich generation, caring for both his children and his parents, he felt compelled to bridge the digital divide and make technology more accessible to all. Witnessing the benefits technology brings to older adults inspired him to launch Smarter, a resource he wished he had for his own parents and in-laws.
With age comes wisdom and experience, and Terry has leveraged these assets to their fullest. As he puts it, “It’s amazing how much more effective I can be now as a founder and CEO of a startup.” And you know what Terry believes is the secret sauce in business? Kindness! “Above all, I believe being a good human being is the most important skill one can have in both business and life. It’s surprising how far kindness can take you.”
