We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership that’s all about connection, confidence, and cybersecurity! The Smarter Service has teamed up with Trend Micro, a global leader in digital safety, to bring tech enrichment classes to two of our partner communities — and their residents are loving it.
Through Trend Micro’s generous sponsorship, older adults in BHI Senior Living Communities and at Westminster Village, Arizona, now have access to free, engaging sessions designed to build digital confidence and online safety skills. This initiative is more than just a class series — it’s a step toward empowerment in today’s ever-evolving tech world.
A Packed House and a Powerful Kickoff
The program launched last week at The Barrington of Carmel, where residents gathered for our very first “Sweet, Safe, & Secure” session. With sweet treats in hand and curious minds ready, attendees joined Tech Concierge Greg King and Trend Micro security expert Sean LaCoste for an afternoon of learning, laughter, and community connection.
From spotting scams to protecting personal information, the session covered key digital safety topics in an approachable, easy-to-understand way. Residents also had a chance to ask questions and receive hands-on tech support — and yes, there were fun giveaways, too!
